The US leading magazine, Foreign policy, claimed that the US authorities who work on the ground duty have counted F-16 fighter jets in Pakistan’s possession and they have found none of them is missing. It means, what Indian Air Force claimed to have shot the F-16 fighter jet by Pilot Abhinandan is false, they reported.
After a prolonged debate, India asked the US government to investigate on Pak’s use of F-16 violated terms of the foreign military sale agreements. But, Pakistan has always denied using F-16 and also denied that Indian pilot has hit it on that day. Additionally, Pakistan asked the US to come and count the jets in person.
The magazine reported the news saying that two undisclosed US defence officials went to Pakistan in order to settle the matter. The investigation gave the correct count by Pakistan, it said. Now, the question arise if Indian authorities have misled the foreign community about what happened that particular day.
The magazine reports made Pakistan accuse India immediately and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations, Major Asif Ghafoor, reacted that it is now time for India to speak the truth on making false claims. “Allah be praised, truth always prevails,” he said. On the other hand, India says it has proof that Pak F-16 was shot down in February.
