Vaishnavi Chaitanya Faces Backlash Over On-Stage Slip

Trolling might be the unwanted price of fame, and actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya seems to understand that all too well. The Baby actress, known for her bold performances and rising popularity, recently found herself at the center of an online storm — not for a role, but for an offhand moment during a college event.

Vaishnavi, who rose to fame with the short film Software Developer and gained further recognition with roles in Touch Chesi Chudu, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and Premadesam, is currently busy promoting her upcoming film Jack alongside co-star Siddu Jonnalagadda. As part of the promotional tour, the team visited a college in Bhimavaram — and that’s where things took a surprising turn.

While addressing the students on stage, Vaishnavi mistakenly referred to the city as “Rajahmundry” instead of Bhimavaram. Siddu promptly whispered the correct name, and in a moment of flustered panic, she accidentally let slip the F-word into the mic — attempting to laugh it off soon after. Though she clarified it was an innocent mistake due to a hectic travel schedule, the clip quickly went viral. Trolls criticized her for using inappropriate language in a public college setting, while others defended her, noting how human error and slip-ups can happen to anyone under pressure.

Despite the social media backlash, Vaishnavi is staying composed and focusing on her film’s release on April 10. If anything, this moment shows that she’s learning to take the highs and lows of fame in stride — with poise, honesty, and an eye firmly on her work.
