The second day of the AP Assembly session had seen TDP expelled MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan giving it back to the party chief Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday.
It happened during the Question Hour on the day, when Naidu raised objection to the speaker giving a chance to Vamsi to speak.
While speaker justified his decision, Vamsi said that as MLA he had the right to speak on the floor. I have every right to represent peoples’ issues in the Assembly, he said.
The MLA, who was suspended by the TDP for meeting chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy, said there was nothing wrong in one MLA meeting chief minister.
He said he met the chief minister on important issues concerning the people of his Gannavaram Assembly constituency and the issues were solved amicably.
As the MLA was suspended by the TDP, the speaker had given him a separate seat behind the TDP MLAs in the Assembly on the request of Vamsi.
It is said that a few more MLAs from the TDP are likely to join Vamsi in the Assembly after duly getting suspended by the leadership.
“The number of unattached MLAs (suspended by the TDP) is likely to go up in the current session and Chandrababu Naidu’s seat would be moved to the extreme corner of the opposition benches in the Assembly” a TDP MLA quipped in the lobbies of the Assembly.
