Mahakali Update: Akshaye Khanna Wraps Shoot, Final Schedule Begins
Prasanth Varma is steering the vision as showrunner for “Mahakali,” the third chapter in the PVCU, following the massive success of HanuMan. Backed by RKD Studios, the film is produced by Rizwan Ramesh Duggal and directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru.
Bhoomi Shetty takes on the titular role of Mahakali, delivering a fierce and powerful portrayal of the divine avatar. Adding to the excitement, Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna joins the PVCU in a pivotal role as the mysterious Shukracharya. On the actor’s birthday, Prasanth Varma unveiled an intense new still from the sets, while also confirming that Akshaye has completed his portion of the shoot.
The film has already wrapped up 100 days of filming, and the team has now entered a crucial final 40-day schedule in Hyderabad. At the same time, extensive VFX work is underway across multiple studios, aiming to deliver a grand and visually rich mythological spectacle.
With anticipation steadily rising, the makers are expected to announce the film’s release date soon, further building excitement around this ambitious addition to the PVCU.
