Sumanth Prabhas’ rural family drama Godari Gattupaina, directed by Subhash Chandra under Red Puppet Productions, is all set to hit cinemas today. The film’s pre-release event turned emotional, with the lead actor opening up about the emotional depth of the story and his personal connection to it.

Speaking at the event, Sumanth expressed strong confidence that audiences would connect deeply with the film. He said the director Subhash Chandra has a natural understanding of human emotions and has beautifully translated them onto the screen. According to him, the film is rich in heartfelt emotions and strong human values, something he feels has been missing in recent times.

Sumanth also shared that after watching the film, he was deeply moved by the father–daughter emotional thread. He mentioned that growing up in a family with only brothers helped him understand this emotion in a new way through the story. The film explores a father’s unconditional love for his daughter.

He particularly appreciated Jagapathi Babu’s role as the father, noting that the emotional journey—from raising a daughter with immense love and care to the moment of her wedding—is portrayed very impactfully. He said the film beautifully captures this emotional transition from a father’s perspective.

Sumanth further added that after watching the film, many daughters would feel like saying “I love you, Daddy,” as it strongly reflects real-life father–daughter relationships. He praised the way Jagapathi Babu’s character expresses love and responsibility, which he believes will resonate with audiences on a personal level.

Calling it a refreshing summer entertainer, Sumanth said the film will help audiences relax, relieve stress, and enjoy a heartfelt cinematic experience. The movie’s premieres are scheduled across various cities in the Telugu states today.
