Veerraju suspends Velagapudi, GVR accepts with open arms

Somu Veerraju recently became the President of BJP Andhra Pradesh, and there have been many suspensions in his short span as the President. Veerraju is making sure that he is eliminating anyone who is opposing the stand that BJP is taking, with respect to the 3 Capital issue.

It is already known that BJP AP is divided into two factions when it comes to supporting or not supporting the idea of 3 Capitals, and are acting like they are pro-TDP. Leaders like Velagapudi Gopala Krishna fall into this category, who have made public statements of their opposition to the 3 Capitals. Many AP BJP leaders are saying taht the Center will interfere at the right time, despite the Center making it clear that it has no say in this issue.

Veerraju has now suspended Velagapudi since the latter is not hiding his disdain for the 3 Capitals, and is openly participating in debates, criticising the idea. However, it looks like Veerraju has made the biggest mistake by suspending Velagapudi, who has now turned out to be a rebel with greater power.

Velagapudi has now been made the AP state president of Hindu Mahasabha, by Akhil Bharata Hindu Mahasabha National General Secretary Prof. GVR Sastry. Sastry has been defending Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh for the longest time, and has also been made the Chairman of Amaravati Capital JAC.

Sastry has been pressurising the national and state divisions of AP to support the cause for Amaravati as the sole capital so that the place can flourish as the Southern Ayodhya in India. Now, with Velagapudi being made the AP state president of Hindu Mahasabha, this movement is surely to pick up more momentum. This might turn out to be a huge hurdle for Veerraju, who’s been upholding the stand of AP BJP so far.
