Venkatesh Dropped The Plan To Remake That Film

Venkatesh has shown interest to remake Hindi film De De Pyar De in which the fifty-year old protagonist falls in love with a girl half his age. Ajay Devgn played the main lead in that moderately successful Bollywood comedy.

Venkatesh felt that the character not only suits his age but also would give him ample scope for his trademark funny antics.

However, Venkatesh dropped the idea of remaking it despite Suresh Babu acquiring the remake rights of DDPD.

The veteran star is going ahead with remaking Tamil cult hit Asuran, though. Srikanth Addala has been assigned the job to remake this rugged and rustic rural drama to suit to the tastes of our audience.

Venkatesh will be seen as a protective father of two grownup sons besides appearing as a youngster for a brief period of time in the remake of Asuran.
