Director Venky Atluri has officially put an end to speculation regarding sequels to his recent films Sir (also known as Vaathi in Tamil) and Lucky Baskhar.

In a recent interview, Atluri confirmed that there are no plans for a sequel to Sir, the Dhanush-starrer that resonated with audiences across languages. Despite its success and a climax that left room for continuation, Atluri stated firmly, “No, there won’t be a sequel to Sir.” He explained that the film was always intended to be a standalone story with a complete narrative arc.

However, there’s good news for fans of Lucky Baskhar. Atluri revealed that a sequel to the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer is definitely on the cards. “Lucky Baskhar sequel will happen for sure,” he confirmed, sparking excitement among fans.

Released last year, Lucky Baskhar followed the story of an ordinary bank employee whose life takes a dramatic and unexpected turn. The film was praised for its compelling storytelling and strong performances, earning it a dedicated fan base.

With Sir 2 officially ruled out and Lucky Baskhar 2 confirmed, all eyes are now on Atluri as fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter in Baskhar’s journey.
