Veteran music composer Raam Laxman passes away


Veteran music composer Raam Laxman, who is appreciated for his work in films like Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Maine Pyaar Kiya, passed away at his residence in Nagpur on Saturday. He breathed his last after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 78.

As per his son, the veteran composer died at 2:00 am on Saturday. He got the second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine a few days ago, following which he was feeling very weak and fatigued, and a doctor was treating him for that.Raam Laxman was a popular music composer, who worked in Marathi, Hindi and Bhojpuri films. In his four-decade-long career in the music industry, Laxman has composed music for over 150 films.

He is popular for the songs of movies like Taraana, Patthar Ke Phool, Anmol and Hum Saath Saath Hain. His composition’s also won him a Filmfare Award for Best Music Director.
