Vidya Balan, eminently known for playing versatile roles like Parineeta, The Dirty Picture, Kahaani and many more, was also seen mesmerizing the Telugu audience with NTR Kathanayakudu as Nandamuri Basavatarakam. During the period, she also grabbed the huge opportunity of playing late J. Jayalalithaa in a biopic named Thalaivi.
The role as a former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has given her all the excitement but it was later reported that the actress said no to the makers for her tight schedule and prior commitments. But, as per her latest interview, the reason was something else.
In a recent interaction, Vidya said that she refused to do it as she did not want to do another biopic simultaneously. The actress was already roped in for a biopic on the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film will soon go on sets and Vidya will be seen portraying Indira Gandhi. The film is also ready to be made into a web series. “I felt that doing one biopic was enough,” she added.
The role of Jayalalithaa has later been given to Manikarnika actress, Kangana Ranaut, who constantly stays on the headlines for her controversial remarks and taunts against Bollywood film industry.
