ViewSonic Corp has strengthened its presence in India’s education technology market with the expansion of its lamp-free projector portfolio, launching the new LSD400 Series high-brightness laser projectors and the LSD300W-ST short-throw LED projector. The new range is aimed at addressing the growing demand from classrooms, universities, and coaching centres across Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 cities as digital learning adoption accelerates nationwide.

With educational institutions increasingly prioritising reliability, sustainability, and lower operating costs, ViewSonic’s latest projectors are designed to deliver long-term performance with minimal maintenance. Both the LSD400 Series and the LSD300W-ST eliminate the need for traditional lamps, significantly reducing downtime, replacement costs, and environmental impact.

The LSD400 Series uses advanced laser phosphor technology to deliver 4,000 ANSI Lumens of brightness, making it suitable for larger classrooms and lecture halls. These models consume up to 49% less power compared to conventional lamp-based projectors and offer a light-source lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, helping institutions reduce total cost of ownership over time.

Meanwhile, the LSD300W-ST LED projector is tailored for space-constrained classrooms and tuition centres. Offering 3,300 ANSI Lumens of brightness and an industry-leading 60,000-hour lifespan, the projector can operate for over two decades under typical classroom usage without requiring a single lamp replacement. Its short-throw capability allows it to project a 100-inch image from just 1.06 metres, reducing shadows and glare in compact learning environments. The model also supports 360-degree orientation, enabling creative installations on walls, ceilings, or floors for interactive teaching setups.

Built to withstand India’s challenging operating conditions, both projector ranges feature IP5X-sealed, filter-free optical engines. This dust-resistant design ensures consistent performance even in dusty classrooms while minimising maintenance requirements and operational disruptions.

For institutions managing large-scale deployments, selected models such as the LSD400HD-ST offer certified compatibility with Crestron, Extron, and Q-SYS systems. This allows IT teams to remotely monitor, control, and manage multiple projectors from a centralised platform, improving efficiency across campuses.

Commenting on the launch, Muneer Ahmad, Vice President – Sales and Marketing at ViewSonic India, said the new models reinforce the company’s leadership in lamp-free projection technology. He added that the range is designed to deliver the right balance of brightness, durability, and cost efficiency for diverse learning spaces, from large auditoriums to small coaching rooms.

With lamp-free models now accounting for more than 70% of ViewSonic’s projector lineup in India, the company is signalling a strong long-term commitment to sustainable, low-maintenance display solutions for the country’s rapidly evolving education ecosystem.
