After watching the first half of World Famous Lover, many among the audience felt that the film is going to become a blockbuster of epic proportions. The romantic thread, storyline and the coal mines episode worked out well. But ten minutes into the second half, the film lost its balance and it sounded like Vijay Devarakonda is starring at a hurtful result.
Whether it is NOTA, Dear Comrade or Valentines Day released World Famous Lover, Vijay Devarakonda actually suffered at the box office due to second-half syndrome only. All those films got great sounding first half, but when it comes to wrapping the story with meaningful and exciting scenes, they took the routine route and succumbed to commercial-endings. Even World Famous Lover also did the same.
Rather taking a positive note in the end, had World Famous Lover opted for a negative ending, the result would have been something else. Though Telugu audiences are accepting a variety on the silver screen these days, it is quite surprising to see that the brand ambassadors of change, including Vijay, opting for routine cliched ideas.
For his upcoming films, hope the hero makes note of how the second half is shaping up, and if it is living up to the expectations created by first-half or not.
