Tollywood sensation Vijay Devarakonda is all set to make a strong comeback with a full-fledged rural mass entertainer directed by Ravi Kiran Kola. The film, reportedly titled Rowdy Janardhan, was officially launched this morning in Hyderabad.
The Pooja ceremony took place at Dil Raju’s office and saw the presence of esteemed producer Allu Arvind and acclaimed director Hanu Raghavapudi. Rowdy Janardhan marks the second collaboration between Dil Raju and Vijay, following their previous venture The Family Star. Keerthi Suresh joins Vijay as the female lead for the first time in this project. Although the duo had worked together in Mahanati, they had never shared the screen as the lead pair.
The film was initially announced last year, accompanied by a gripping poster featuring a blood-stained hand clutching a machete. However, Vijay’s busy schedule delayed the project until now. For this action-packed drama, Dil Raju has brought in top technicians from the Malayalam film industry. Cinematography will be handled by Premam fame Anend Chandran, while the music score will be composed by Christo Xavier, known for his hits in Brahmayugam, Turbo, and Sooshmadarshini. Production design is entrusted to Dino Shankar, adding further finesse to the film’s visual appeal.
In addition to Rowdy Janardhan, Vijay is also preparing for a period drama directed by Taxiwala fame Rahul Sankrityan. He is expected to shoot for both projects simultaneously, showcasing his commitment to delivering back-to-back hits.
