Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda had a narrow escape when his car was hit from behind by another vehicle on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru Highway (NH-44) in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Telangana, earlier today. The actor was traveling from Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, to Hyderabad at the time.
Fortunately, Vijay and his companions were unharmed. The other vehicle involved did not stop and continued towards Hyderabad. Vijay’s driver later lodged a complaint with local authorities, and a case has been registered, with investigations underway. Despite the mishap, Vijay reached Hyderabad safely.
The accident occurred shortly after reports of Vijay’s private engagement ceremony with Rashmika Mandanna on October 3, attended by close friends and family. Following the engagement, Vijay visited Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi with his family. Photos from the trip went viral, with fans noticing a ring on Vijay’s finger, fueling engagement speculations.
While the couple has not officially confirmed their engagement, sources suggest that their wedding could take place in February 2026.
