It has been a while since former YSR Congress Party general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy, who resigned from the party and his Rajya Sabha membership earlier this year, was in the news. After unsuccessful attempts to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sai Reddy has largely stayed away from the public eye and social media.
There were speculations about him returning to YSRCP, but sources confirmed that party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was not keen on taking him back.
On Tuesday, Sai Reddy made a surprising comment on his social media handle X regarding the recently concluded Partnership Summit organized by the Chandrababu Naidu government in coordination with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
He offered advice to Naidu on ensuring that the proposals from the summit translate into real industrial development in Andhra Pradesh. “AP Govt. signed 613 MoUs worth Rs 13.25 lakh crore in the CII Summit. A special officer should be appointed to follow up on these MoUs and ensure that these projects are actually grounded. A real-time website should be set up to track progress for transparency,” Sai Reddy suggested.
He added that only such measures could dispel doubts about the purpose of mega events like the CII Summit. Sai Reddy also expressed appreciation for Naidu, saying, “Wishing to see a future-ready Andhra Pradesh for the next generation.”
