For a long time, Vijay Sai Reddy was one of the most trusted associates of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Despite his unwavering loyalty and the challenges he endured for the YSR Congress chief, Sai Reddy has now officially parted ways with the party and announced his retirement from politics.
Weeks after his departure, Sai Reddy has finally opened up about the reasons behind his exit.
“The group surrounding Jagan Mohan Reddy is not the right one. The second-rung leaders around him broke my heart and sidelined me in the party. With a heavy heart, I had to step away from Jagan—not because of him, but because of the people he trusts. They pulled me down to elevate themselves. Jagan claims I succumbed to political pressure, but in reality, I left YCP because of those around him,” Sai Reddy stated.
He went a step further, making a serious remark about Jagan’s political future. “Jagan can only regain his political strength if he distances himself from his current inner circle. If he continues with the same people, his path ahead will be extremely difficult,” Sai Reddy warned.
His comments have now triggered intense discussions in Andhra Pradesh political circles, raising questions about the internal dynamics of YCP and the future course of Jagan’s leadership.
