Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay, who has recently stepped into active politics, has announced that his upcoming film Jana Nayagan will be his final outing as an actor. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film is slated for a grand Pongal release on January 9th, with expectations running high among fans and trade circles. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead.
As speculated in Tamil media, the highly anticipated audio launch of Jana Nayagan has been officially scheduled for December 27th at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Malaysia. To mark the announcement, the production house released a five-minute glimpse featuring iconic moments from Vijay’s illustrious career, including his signature dialogues.
The event promises to be spectacular, as it marks Vijay’s farewell to acting before he fully immerses himself in politics under his TVK party. Organizers chose Malaysia for security reasons, as obtaining permissions in India has become challenging after the tragic stampede during one of his political rallies. Malaysia, with its significant Tamil population, provides a safe and enthusiastic audience for Kollywood events.
Fans are eagerly waiting to witness Vijay’s reaction and his farewell speech as an actor. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is expected to perform live at the launch. The first single, Thalapathy Kacheri, has already become a chartbuster, and anticipation for the rest of the album is at an all-time high.
