Vikram Needs a Telugu Director to Redefine His Success!

Share

Vikram is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and dedicated actors in Indian cinema, yet he has often been denied the recognition he truly deserves. While his intense performances and commitment to his craft are widely acknowledged, the choice of scripts continues to limit the level of success he aims for. Unfortunately, his latest release, Veera Dheera Shoora, directed by Arun Kumar, has followed the same pattern—earning critical acclaim but failing to achieve commercial success. This raises an important question: Is it time for Vikram to collaborate with Telugu filmmakers to expand his reach?

In Veera Dheera Shoora, Vikram’s portrayal of Kali was raw, powerful, and deeply engaging. His effort and passion were clearly visible on-screen, yet the film struggled to pull audiences into theaters. Despite its innovative storytelling, it lacked the promotional push needed to generate excitement, particularly in Telugu states. Moreover, the film catered to a niche audience, limiting its broader appeal.

Vikram’s dedication to performance-driven roles continues to earn him respect, but commercial success has often eluded him. With contemporary actors like Karthi, Vijay, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, and Dulquer Salmaan finding tremendous success by collaborating with Telugu directors, it’s evident that such a shift could work wonders for Vikram as well. Even Suriya is set to make his Telugu debut soon, further reinforcing this trend.

To break the cycle and redefine audience expectations, Vikram needs to step out of his comfort zone and team up with a Telugu filmmaker who can present him in a new, mass-appealing avatar. Audiences have come to expect stellar performances from him, but they also want to see him in films that make a lasting box-office impact. To erase the perception that his movies prioritize acting over commercial viability, Vikram must now make a strategic move—one that surprises everyone and elevates him to new heights of success.

It’s time for Vikram to rethink his approach and take a bold step into Telugu cinema—a move that could finally give him the pan-Indian recognition he truly deserves.
