Tollywood noted writer BVS Ravi has sparked an intense debate with his sharp observations on the current state of the Telugu film industry, drawing comparisons with the ambitious project Dhurandhar.

Sharing his views, Ravi remarked that while Dhurandhar managed to shoot nearly eight hours of footage on a budget of ₹260 crores, many Tollywood producers are spending close to ₹500 crores on a single film. He suggested that this trend could signal trouble for regular producers if it continues.

He highlighted that one of the major reasons behind this disparity is the lack of proper planning in Telugu cinema. Though Ravi did not directly comment on star remunerations, industry insiders believe that actor salaries often consume a significant portion of the budget, leaving limited scope for production quality and technical excellence.

In contrast, Dhurandhar is said to have maintained a balanced approach by keeping remunerations in check despite its massive scale, allowing the makers to focus more on content and execution.
