YSRCP may hurl attack on TDP over its flagship program Anna Canteen that provides quality food at subsidised rates to general public. But a host of Jagan’s followers and YCP party workers were spotted having food at Anna Canteen in Vijayawada. People around them have clicked the pictures and these pics have gone viral online.
The news reached to Panchayat Raj & IT Minister Nara Lokesh’s notice who had took to his Twitter to share the pics and welcomed them for using the government’s services.Posting the pictures of YCP workers eating at Anna canteen, Lokesh wrote, “When an honest welfare initiative is able to blur party lines, it means that the Opposition agrees with us even as it disagrees. #AnnaCanteen”
CM Chandrababu Naidu has launched his dream project Anna Canteen on July 11, 2018. As many as 60 canteens have been launched in 25 municipalities which have the highest population.
Naidu has drawn up plans to launch a total of 203 canteens in 110 municipalities. In the rest of the municipalities, 143 canteens will be launched in the second phase. The quality food would be charged at as less as Rs 5 and three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) would be served in these canteens. AP government has entrusted the responsibility of supplying food items to the Akshaya Patra Foundation.
