The eagerly awaited pan-India film Kannappa, headlined by Vishnu Manchu, is all set to hit theaters worldwide on June 27th. Building immense hype with its powerful teaser, trailer, and soulful soundtrack, the movie has already piqued interest across multiple regions. Helmed by acclaimed director Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Dr. M. Mohan Babu under the banners of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, Kannappa promises to be both a cinematic and spiritual spectacle.
During the grand pre-release event held in Hyderabad on Saturday, veteran actor-producer Dr. M. Mohan Babu gave a heartfelt speech, acknowledging the team’s collaborative spirit. “Kannappa began with the blessings of the Almighty. Every character in this film shines as a hero. Talents like Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Sarath Kumar are superstars in their industries, yet they graciously joined this journey. I am truly grateful for their invaluable contributions,” he expressed, also appreciating director Mukesh Kumar Singh for his stellar craft.
Emphasizing the movie’s core message of unity, Mohan Babu noted that tribal representatives had been invited to the event, reinforcing the theme that devotion transcends caste and religion. “Thinnadu, from the Boya community, revered only his parents. Kannappa is the story of his transformation into a great devotee,” Mohan Babu explained. Former MP and MLA Mediyam Baburao, representing tribal communities, commended the makers, sharing, “As someone who belongs to this community, I connect deeply with Thinnadu’s journey. Stories like this inspire and uplift.”
The evening also saw Vishnu Manchu sharing his emotional connection with superstar Prabhas, who plays a pivotal role in Kannappa. “There are two kinds of friendships—like Krishna and Karna. Prabhas is my Krishna, and I am his Karna. He had no reason to do this film except his respect for my father. Fame can change people, but Prabhas remains as grounded as ever. I will always admire him for that,” Vishnu added warmly.
With its powerful story, grand scale, and heartfelt performances, Kannappa is all set to captivate audiences across India when it releases this June.
