Megastar Chiranjeevi is teaming up with Bimbisara director Vassishta for the much-anticipated high-budget socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara. Slated for a grand worldwide release later this year, the film has already generated buzz — though not all of it has been positive.
A few months ago, the teaser for Vishwambhara dropped online but drew criticism from fans and viewers alike for what was perceived as subpar visual effects. However, in a surprising revelation, producer Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy recently clarified that the visuals shown in the teaser were not actual VFX, but AI-generated footage.
In a recent interview, the producer explained the reason behind this decision. “We gave the footage to VFX companies and asked them how long it would take to complete the work. While they initially promised three months, we gave them six months to ensure quality. We aimed to release the film for Sankranthi. However, even after six months, the VFX work wasn’t completed. So, for the teaser, we resorted to AI-generated visuals as a temporary measure,” he said.
Following the backlash from fans, the makers have now assured that no AI visuals will be used in the final cut of the film. Instead, the team has committed to using only high-quality VFX, which is why the film’s release is taking additional time.
This announcement has brought much-needed relief to Mega fans, who were concerned after seeing the teaser visuals.
Vishwambhara features a stellar cast including Trisha, Ashika Ranganath, and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film is being bankrolled by UV Creations, with music composed by the legendary MM Keeravani.
