Last week, former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stirred controversy with a sly remark aimed at Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Jagan’s statement—“Corporater ki ekkuva, MLA ki thakkuva”—was widely perceived as an attempt to belittle Kalyan’s historic election campaign and leadership.

Many expected Pawan Kalyan to use the Janasena plenary as a platform to counter Jagan’s comment. However, Kalyan remained unfazed, choosing instead to focus on his vision and message for JSP activists rather than engaging in political trolling.

Meanwhile, Kandula Durgesh, a key associate of Pawan Kalyan and a cabinet minister, did not hold back. Responding strongly to Jagan’s remark, Durgesh stated, “If YSR wasn’t the Chief Minister of AP, Jagan wouldn’t have even become a councillor.” His sharp retort struck a chord with JSP supporters, who reacted with resounding approval.

Interestingly, while Kalyan refrained from addressing Jagan’s dig, his cabinet minister delivered a strong counter, reinforcing the party’s stance and energizing its cadre.
