The statement made by Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu that his party would come to power “thousand percent” has fetched him huge trolling in the social media.
Naidu told the media: “You can write it down. The victory of the TDP in the assembly elections is thousand percent certain. Some surveys say we will win 100 seats, but I say we are going to win more than 130 assembly seats.”
Well, the statement only reflected Naidu’s level of frustration. While a person who is sure of victory says he is 100 per cent sure of his victory, but will never say 1,000 per cent. It only shows Naidu is talking through his hat.
Somebody compared Naidu with maverick evangelist and Praja Shanti Party chief K A Paul. A video clipping of Paul making tall claims on the lines of Naidu is doing rounds in the social media, making people laugh out loud.
In the video clip, the reporter is seen asking Paul how many seats his Praja Shanti Party is expecting to win.
Paul replies: “100 seats. But if this kind of trend continues, there is no surprise if we win all the 175 assembly seats.”
Any difference between Naidu and Paul?
