It was really amusing to see the enemy of the Andhras, Harish Rao actually quote the action of the AP Assembly in support of Deputy Speaker of the T-Assembly, Padma Devender Reddy.
It all started when the Telangana legislative assembly on Tuesday witnessed some moments of discomfort after deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy became emotional for a while.
A comment by Congress MLA DK Aruna that “people lacking culture are running the House” made Padma Devender Reddy teary-eyed.
Even as Padma Devender Reddy, who was in the chair in place of speaker S Madhusudhana Chary, wiped her eyes, legislative affairs minister T Harish Rao demanded that Aruna apologize for her comment.
Harish Rao wanted to know if it was a demonstration of culture on the part of Aruna to level such allegations.
He reminded that a member of AP legislative assembly was suspended for an entire year for such comments but, in the T- assembly, opposition members are not being stopped from speaking on various issues in such a fashion. He asked the Opposition to exercise restraint and speak in a civil fashion.
