When Nagarjuna Had to Mop a Hotel Floor in Singapore

On the debut episode of Jayammu Nischayammuraa, veteran actor Jagapathi Babu shared an unforgettable anecdote featuring Nagarjuna that had the audience in splits. Recalling a trip to Singapore years ago, Jagapathi Babu revealed how the duo, in a playful mood, set off a stink bomb in the corridor of a luxury hotel. The prank misfired spectacularly: hotel staff caught them and, in an almost cinematic twist, made Nagarjuna clean up the mess himself.

Jagapathi Babu couldn’t contain his laughter while narrating the incident, and Nagarjuna admitted he still remembers the episode—albeit faintly. The conversation soon turned nostalgic, with Jagapathi Babu reminiscing about his days before stardom. He once worked in a furniture shop in Vizag and, during free hours, frequented film sets. Watching Nagarjuna’s effortless charm and screen presence convinced him that he, too, could make it in cinema. That quiet inspiration nudged him towards an acting career.

The episode felt less like a conventional talk show and more like two old friends swapping stories. Fans were treated to a rare glimpse of Nagarjuna—mischievous, humorous, and refreshingly human. It painted a vivid picture of the King of Telugu cinema, who once mopped a hotel corridor in Singapore and, unknowingly, inspired a friend to step into the film industry.
