Barely a day ahead of the launch of the party, YS Sharmila held a key meeting with her strategy advisor Priya. Wondering who this Priya is? She is a very important member of the Team Prashant Kishore and she has been advising Sharmila on several things relating to party, strategy and image makeover.
Priya arrived on Wednesday morning and held discussions with her mentor Prashant Kishore. After the meeting was over, she was closeted with Sharmila for a couple of hours. This meeting is being seen as very important. The meeting is believed to have covered issues like social media strategies, brand building, image creation, the political scenario in Telangana and the relative strengths and weaknesses of various political players. Priya and Sharmila are also believed to have discussed on the issues that Sharmila should raise in the days to come. It is also being said that the team led by Priya will provide inputs for YS Sharmila’s speeches and media interactions.
Priya, who is also handling the social media strategy of Sharmila is said to be the person who suggested to her to wear the off-white saree with blue border at the time of the Khammam meeting. This was done to hightlight the colour of the party’s flag. Also, the saree’s distinct colour combination will have a recall and easy recognition value, Priya is said to have suggested.
Interestingly, YSRTP insiders say that Priya will be the team leader in the Phase 1 of the campaign. She would help establish Sharmila’s credentials as a mass campaigner, orator and thrash out issues to project. At a later stage, other members of the PK team too will chip in to help Priya. As of now, Team PK has not made any formal announcement of it being associated with YS Sharmila and her party. Team PK was associated with YS Jagan between 2014 and 2019 and helped him storm to power. After that, PK has indicated that in future he may not work with YS Jagan again. Interestingly, another former associate of PK, Robin Sharma, is said to be assisting Lokesh Babu of the TDP.
