Allu Arjun’s AA22xA6: Sci-Fi Spectacle with Atlee and Ramya Krishnan
Following the monumental success of Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun is gearing up for his next ambitious venture, tentatively titled AA22xA6, directed by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Atlee. Backed by Sun Pictures, the film is shaping up to be a high-concept sci-fi fantasy action drama, reportedly one of the most ambitious Indian productions in recent times, featuring an ensemble of top stars and international technicians.
Deepika Padukone has already been confirmed as the female lead, while speculation has circulated around the involvement of Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles. Recent reports confirm that veteran actress Ramya Krishnan, known for her iconic portrayal of Sivagami in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali series, will join the cast in a substantial role. This marks her first collaboration with both Allu Arjun and Atlee, adding further weight to the ensemble.
AA22xA6 began principal photography in June 2025 in Mumbai, with portions featuring Allu Arjun and Mrunal Thakur currently underway. Shooting is expected to continue into early 2026, ahead of a worldwide release slated for late 2026. Ramya Krishnan is expected to join the production in upcoming schedules.
Director Atlee is reportedly pushing creative boundaries with this project, moving beyond his traditional commercial filmmaking style. The film is set in a parallel universe and promises a visually rich, effects-heavy spectacle. To ensure top-tier action sequences, the team has brought on Hollywood stunt director Spiro Razatos, renowned for his work on Fast & Furious 9, Civil War, and Jawan. Leading VFX studios from Los Angeles are also contributing to the film’s technical excellence. Music composition is handled by Sai Abhyankar.
With a powerhouse ensemble and a high-profile production team, AA22xA6 aims to captivate audiences across India and globally. Following the success of Pushpa 2 and Atlee’s recent hit Jawan, the project is poised to become one of the most significant pan-Indian cinematic experiences of 2026.
