He is the working president of the TRS and is tipped to take over from his dad KCR. But, where is KTR in the whole Huzurabad battle. Not only has he not set his foot in Huzurabad, but he has not even commented about it. Quite interestingly, the responsibility of Huzurabad has been left to Harish Rao, who has till now confined himself to Medak and Patancheru areas only.
Normally, one expects that the prestigious Huzurabad battle would be handled by KTR as a victory in Huzurabad makes one a hero. More importantly, KTR is an MLA from the same district. But, why is KTR not active in Huzurabad? It is Harish Rao, who is active in the Huzurabad battle. He is matching Eatala word with word and action with action. Harish is also touring the constituency incessantly and is meeting every influencer personally.
Sources say that KCR has deployed Harish Rao only because he is not sure of a TRS victory. So, any discredit will go into the account of Harish Rao and KTR would remain unscathed. However, some TRS insiders say that KTR’s style of functioning is unsuitable for Huzurabad polls. It needs a less flamboyant, silent operator like Harish and not KTR, who is essentially reactive. Another important factor is that both Eatala and Harish Rao are very good friends. By pitting one against the other, KCR is actually testing Harish Rao, sources say.
Sources say that Harish Rao knows Eatala’s planning and strategy inside out due to their long association during the days of Telangana agitation. So, he would be able to counter Eatala’s strategies effectively, sources say.
