Entertaining Maruthi has been in the news a lot lately. As soon as the update about him directing Prabhas came out, it went viral and fans were shocked. Barring Venkatesh, Maruthi never directed a star hero and Prabhas is a pan-Indian hero who has an action hero image. They looked like polls apart but they are coming together for a horror-comedy as per reports. There were rumors that the set is getting built already and the shooting will be beginning as soon as possible.
But post the disastrous result of ‘Radhe Shyam’, Prabhas is staying completely silent regarding his other projects. As we know, he underwent knee surgery and will be back on the sets soon. Many thought that Maruthi’s film will kickstart soon as it is expected to get done as quickly as possible. But sources say that it is not the case right now as the pan-Indian hero is only concentrating on ‘Salaar’ at the moment. The stakes have gone even higher on this film ever since ‘KGF-2’ came out.
Fans of Prabhas are dreaming about Prasanth Neel’s elevations for Prabhas in ‘Salaar’. This is expected to be a completely new story that revolves around laborers. There are a few more days left to shoot in ‘Salaar’ and the star hero is expected to have some high-octane action sequences in this movie which is canned on a grand scale.
Coming back to Maruthi’s film, the grapevine suggests that there will be three heroines in this flick and one of them is Malavika Mohanan. Senior actors like Paresh Rawal and Boman Irani are being considered an important role according to reports. Let us wait and see when this project actually takes off.
Maruthi came into the industry with a small film named ‘Ee Rojullo’ which became a good hit. He made ‘Bus Stop’ which was a success too and produced some low-budget films which did not do well barring ‘Prema Katha Chitram’ which he supervised. His big break came with Nani’s ‘Bhale Bhale Mogadivoy’. He later made films like ‘Babu Bangaram’, ‘Mahaanubhavudu’, ‘Prathi Roju Pandage’, ‘Shailaja Reddy Alludu’, ‘Manchi Rojulochayi’ and is currently awaiting the release of ‘Pakka Commercial’.
