Apparently Mega Camp was not interested in handling the mantle of launching Varun Tej to director Puri Jagan even after listening to his narrations for a couple of times. Visibly upset Jagan immediately made that story as “Heart Attack” with Nitin and scored moderate success. And now that Varun Tej made his debut with the not so successful “Mukunda”, seems like Mega camp wants to do the damage control.
Puri Jagan is known for changing the body languages of heroes like Mahesh Babu, Raviteja, Prabhas and most recently Nitin too. He has already launched Megastar’s heir-apparent Ram Charan in style and successfully, as “Chirutha” made all those commercial aspects work at box office. Varun Tej however missed such a stylish launch as his “Mukunda” lacked pep though there are some philosophical dialogues taking over.
He is proved as a hero material but the film hasn’t had that commercial stamina to click at box office. Srikanth Addala’s lackluster story failed to evince any interest though Varun Tej fetched huge attention for the movie. After “Mukunda”, even Varun Tej felt like working with director Krish in yet another creative flick. But Mega camp biggies are quick to delay this project and bring back Puri Jagan again.
The main reason for this revisiting is to get Varun’s position cemented in Telugu industry as a commercial hero rather just pushing him as another hero from mega camp. Biggies want Varun to stand with the likes of Charan and Bunny and the only is to depend on top-shot directors like Puri Jagan. That’s the story folks.
