Why should seemandhra forgive Sonia Gandhi?Congress President Sonia Gandhi after a long silence broke it and thundered in Parliament during the discussion on amendments to Andhra Pradesh state reorganisation act. She demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP led Union Government to fulfill the promises and also accord special status to Andhra Pradesh as mentioned in the bill.
Even Congress MPs spoke spiritedly taking Union Government to task for going back on the promises made to Andhra Pradesh people. KVP.Ramachandra Rao, JD.Seelam and others started defending Sonia Gandhi and said she was pained at the state division and one should understand Sonia Gandhi’s pain.
However the question is ‘will seemandhra people believe Sonia Gandhi’s statements?’ Many seemandhra people are questioning seemandra Congress leaders whether they have any shame. One cannot forget the role played by the then ruling party Congress in the bifurcation of the state. Durign that time Congress used to say that they have taken the decision after all parties agreed for state division. Till now Congress party didnot regret state divison.
Congress leaders who didnot bother about Andhra Pradesh people are now shamelessly taking about special status and benefits in the Parliament. Sonia Gandhi didnot even bother about people of Andhra Pradesh,when she announced Telangana as if she cut her birthday cake. Many are questioning why should seemandhra people pardon Sonia Gandhi and Congress.
