Hailed as Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan is known for coming up with films that turn out to be huge hits. He takes a lot of gaps between his films and makes sure that everything is perfect.
Barring ‘Thugs Of Hindusthan’ which was an outright disaster, all his movies in the past 10-15 years turned out to be huge hits. Especially, his ‘Dangal’ which arrived in 2016 was the highest money-spinning Indian movie.
The film minted over 600 crores in the Indian market and collected more than 1000 crores from China. Overall, it is the only Indian film to get 2000 crores worldwide.
Though ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ is the highest collector in India, it minted a total of 1800 crores worldwide which made it stand in second place. ‘RRR’ from Rajamouli collected more than 1000 crores ending up in the third-place but there is no chance that it crosses ‘Baahubali 2’ collections.So, Aamir Khan still holds the record for the highest money collecting Indian film with ‘Dangal’.
With Bollywood slowly losing its power with back-to-back super hits from South India, they need a blockbuster immediately. There are looking at Aamir Khan once again as he is getting ready to arrive in August with ‘Laal Singh Chadda’. It is to be seen if this film beats Aamir’s own record or not.
This film is an adaption of the Hollywood classic ‘Forrest Gump’ and Aamir is bankrolling this project. Kareena Kapoor is the female lead in this project and interestingly, Tollywood’s young hero Naga Chaitanya is playing a key role.
