Sometimes in the film industry, people do films for the sake of friendship. Earlier this friendship used to get limited to heroes and producers, but now friends of our star heroes are turning directors as well. That is leading to young heroes canvassing for their friend’s story and acting in it.
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is now coming up with the movie “Yuddam Sharanam” which is directed by Krishna Marimuthu, who happens to be his childhood friend. Though Krishna is not an avid Telugu speaker, Chay helped him narrate the story to Sai Korrapati and finally made him a director. This is not the first time this handsome showed such inclination towards a friend.
Earlier he helped his friend Ajay Bhuyan as well to make a stylish film with him. Way back in 2011, this duo came up with “Dhada” which has style written all over it but lacked substance. Especially the lack of proper story and Kajal’s almost sulking and cry-baby role made the film a disaster. While critics have lashed at the movie, audiences didn’t turn up into theatres. And now, Chay is helping another friend, in the same way, hoping for a better result.
Going by the teasers and trailers, Yuddam Sharanam has an interesting appeal, while the plot of the film appears quite known, tried and tested. With songs not creating any impact till date, the fate of the movie depends only on Krishna’s talent in narrating the story. We have to see what will this friend to Chay’s career now. Will he add a hit to it? On September 8th we’ll know!!
