The budget session for the fiscal year 2021-22 which has to be commenced from March 19 hasn’t materialized yet. The sole reason behind this is the Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency by-election.
Due to the by-election, the model election code will be in force from March 23 to May 2, Jagan decided not to convene the budget session for the fiscal year 2021-22.
In addition, it seems Jagan wanted to defer the budget session even after May 2 as he was of the view to shift the AP executive capital to Vishakapatnam on May 6.
On the other hand, YSRCP finalized M Gurumurthy as the candidate for the Tirupati Lok Sabha by-election. By profession, M Gurumurthy is a physiotherapist and is a close associate of the YSR family.
