September 2 has now become a very hot date. The political class and the people alike are awaiting this date as a major political drama is about to be enacted. There are two reasons why this day is important. On this day, YS Vijayamma, wife of late YSR is organising a get together of all the colleagues and friends of YSR in Hyderabad.
But the more important issue is whether YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRTP chief YS Sharmila will pray together at the YSR memorial in Idupulapaya. On YSR’s birth anniversary, both Sharmila and Jagan offered prayers at separate times. While Sharmila prayed in the morning, YS Jagan went around 4 pm on the same day.
After that, there was the Rakhi Bandhan festival. This is a festival of love and affection between the brothers and sisters. Normally, Sharmila used to make it a big affair and tied rakhi around Jagan’s wrist amid arc lights and camera flashes. But, this year, Sharmila did not tie a rakhi to Jagan and also posted a pic where she greeted all her brothers in the Telugu states.
Now whether the brother and sister will meet on September 2? Sharmila is likely to attend the meeting called by YS Vijayamma. This means she would offer prayers and then leave for Hyderabad. But, YS Jagan too will offer his prayers at the Samadhi early in the morning. After this, Jagan will leave for Tadepalli at 11 am. Sources say that Sharmila and YS Vijayamma will offer prayers soon after YS Jagan leaves the place. So, there is little likelihood of Sharmila and Jagan praying together.
