Drishyam is a Malayalam film released in 2013, which went on to become a blockbuster. The storyline and suspense elements made the film a big hit. Directed by Jeetu Joseph, the thriller has been remade in several languages. It is one of the most remade movies in most languages in the last decade. Remake in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Sinhala (Sri Lanka).
Venkatesh, who starred in the Telugu remake of Drishyam, is now focusing on its sequel. But as per the latest reports surfaced, director Jeetu is all set to go for dubbing ‘Drishyam 2’ in Telugu rather than doing a remake. Apparently, Venkatesh almost lost the chance to star in Telugu. Analysts say the actor is likely to forgo the film as it will be available to everyone on OTT in a few days as a dubbed version.
Is there a Telugu remake of this sequel? Or not? However, we need to wait a little more to to know the official confirmation from the makers.
Currently Venky is busy with the filming of ‘Narappa’. The upcoming remake of ‘Asuran’ is set to release on May 14, which is followed by F3 release on August 27th.
