With Modi’s popularity ratings nose-diving continuously, the party is staring at an uncertain future. Rising prices, petrol rates and joblessness are creating a mood of disappointment nd despondency among the youth, women and the middle class. The social media too is witnessing a backlash against the BJP. Given this situation, the party feels that it needs new allies to get votes. There are also increasing doubts about the ability of Narendra Modi to bring BJP back to power in 2024. As a result, it is looking for new alliance partners, especially from among the regional parties.
The party is said to be looking at the YSRCP as possible alliance partner. The party is getting ready to offer at least three ministerial posts for the YSRCP. Similarly, the AIADMK is also being wooed. AIADMK would be offered two minister posts, while the YSRCP would be offered three ministries. But, the big question is whether the YSRCP will take the bait? Will it join the NDA alliance?
