World Cup Winning Hero To Share Screen Space With Rajinikanth!

Superstar Rajinikanth who has been entertaining his fans and movie lovers over the decades is showing no sign of slowing down. He is one of the busiest stars as he is busy with a few projects. He will be seen next in Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer which is carrying high expectations.

Thalaivar Rajinikanth is also shooting for Lal Salaam which is directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth. Well, the film is going to be special with the presence of a legendary cricketer. World-cup-winning Captain is playing a cameo in Lal Salaam and Rajinikanth announced the same on Social media.

Legendary cricketer Kapil Dev under whose captaincy, the Indian team lifted its first World Cup is playing a small role in Lal Salaam. Sharing a pic with Kapil Dev, Rajinikanth announced the same and said that he is seeing it as a big honor to share the screen with the ace player.

“It is my honour and privilege working with the Legendary, most respected and wonderful human being Kapildevji., who made India proud winning for the first time ever..Cricket World Cup!!! #lalsalaam #therealkapildev,” Rajinikanth said on social media. He shared a picture with Kapil Dev.

Lal Salaam film was officially started with a pooja ceremony a few months back. After a big gap, Aishwarya is stepping into the shoes of a director. Her last project was Vai Raja Vai. The makers of the film recently released the first look and introduced Rajinikanth’s character as Moideen Bhai. Lyca Prpoductions House is bankrolling the film and Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant are also part of the film.

Kapil Dev is regarded as one of the best all-rounders India had ever produced. Whenever India needed Kapil Dev gave the best with his bat and bowling skills. What makes him stand alone from others is that he is the first Indian captain to lift the World Cup.

India went to the 1983 edition of the World Cup as underdogs and won the trophy. In the semifinals, Kapil Dev scored an unbeaten 175 and took his team to the finals. In the finals, the Indian team crushed the mighty West Indies to lift the World Cup. India took as many as 28 years to again lift the trophy in 2011.
