The YS family, once known for its unity, is now witnessing a deepening internal rift. Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has reportedly initiated legal proceedings against his sister Y. S. Sharmila and mother Y. S. Vijayamma amid an ongoing dispute over company shares.
The issue revolves around the distribution of shares in Saraswati Power Company and Classic Realty. Jagan, along with his wife Y. S. Bharathi, has approached the National Company Law Tribunal, alleging that shares previously transferred to Vijayamma through a gift deed are now being redirected to Sharmila without their consent.
Responding to these claims, Vijayamma submitted her statement to the tribunal, firmly denying any wrongdoing. She clarified that she is not acting as a benami for Sharmila or anyone else and emphasized that she has no vested interests favoring any particular family member.
Vijayamma further stated that her decisions regarding the distribution of family assets are in line with the wishes of her late husband, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. She maintained that there has been no illegal transfer of company shares or family wealth.
The situation has drawn attention due to the emotional and personal nature of the dispute. Observers note that it is unfortunate for Vijayamma, especially at this stage of her life, to face such a public and legal conflict involving her own children.
