Nandamuri Balakrishna is known for his straightforward nature. There will be no filter to his tongue and he speaks whatever comes to his mind. Though his nature landed him in controversies a few times, he did not change his nature. Going by the same style, the actor-turned-politician made shocking comments at the ruling party MLA.
At a recent event, a ruling party activist reportedly played Nandamuri Balakrishna’s songs. The issue went to the notice of Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, Narasaraopet MLA of the ruling party. He reportedly insulted the person and the victim allegedly tried to take his life. Somehow the issue reached Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Nandamuri Balakrishna reacted to the issue and said that he will not tolerate such incidents and asked the MLA to not mix politics and films. People should see cinema as cinema and politics should not be dragged.
The Hindupur MLA did not take the YCP MLA and said that he will not mention his name as he decreased his stature though he is a big name. He asked how an MLA can trouble his activist for just playing his song.
Bringing Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s name indirectly, Balakrishna said that the MLA is behaving on par with the CM. He said “Yadha Raja, Tadha Praja.” The crowd went wild hearing Balakrsihna’s speech.
Balakrishna warned the MLA to not cross his limit and make sure that such incidents won’t repeat. Saying that cinema is beyond caste and religion and everyone watches films, Balakrishna said such behavior is not good.
