Yash’s Ravana to Clash Later: Ramayana’s Epic Build-Up Begins

Ramayana, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari, is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious and expensive Indian films ever made, with a staggering budget of ₹835 crore. The epic adaptation boasts a stellar ensemble cast and is generating tremendous buzz as it progresses through its production phases.

Among the film’s most talked-about casting decisions is Yash, the superstar of the KGF franchise, taking on the formidable role of Ravana. While fans anticipated a direct confrontation between Yash’s Ravana and Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram, recent reports reveal a surprising twist—Yash will only appear in an introductory capacity in the first installment. The much-anticipated face-off between Ram and Ravana will reportedly be reserved for the film’s climax, delaying their full-scale battle until the sequel.

Currently, action sequences featuring Yash as Ravana and the character of Vidyutjihva are being filmed, adding a new layer of intensity to the narrative. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor has completed filming his portions for the first part of the trilogy, portraying Lord Ram.

Adding further weight to the ensemble, veteran actor Sunny Deol is confirmed to play Lord Hanuman. He is expected to join the production from August for the second part of the film.

Slated for a grand release in October 2027, Ramayana is not just a cinematic retelling of a timeless epic but a visual spectacle in the making. With its scale, cast, and vision, it promises to be a landmark moment in Indian cinema.
