The Andhra Pradesh Election Commission, which successfully held the panchayat elections, is now conducting the municipal elections. YCP has succeeded in gaining grip over Piduguralla Municipality. YCP candidates were unanimously elected in 33 wards in Piduguralla.
On the other hand, out of 30 wards in the Tuni municipality of East Godavari district, 15 wards were unanimously won by YCP candidates and were elected as councillors. After giving a shock to Chandrababu Naidu in the KUppam constituency, YCP gave a huge shock to former Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu in his own constituency, Tuni.
The Election Commission is yet to officially announce the details of how many wards have been unanimous in total, and how many candidates are in the fray, and so on.
