Rashmika Mandanna Expands Her Bollywood Footprint

Rashmika Mandanna continues to strike a fine balance across Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil cinema, steadily expanding her presence beyond regional boundaries. The actress has recently wrapped up shooting for her upcoming Bollywood film Cocktail 2, in which she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film is expected to hit theatres soon.
Interestingly, even before Cocktail 2 makes its release, Rashmika has reportedly signed another Hindi project, once again sharing screen space with Shahid Kapoor. The yet-untitled romantic entertainer will be directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, known for Badhaai Ho and Maidaan. As per reports, both Shahid and Rashmika are officially locked for the project, which will be jointly produced by Jio Studios and The Vermilion World. The film is scheduled to go on floors in the second half of this year.
On the Telugu front, Rashmika has recently joined the sets of the highly anticipated Allu Arjun–Atlee project. She has earlier worked with Allu Arjun in the blockbuster Pushpa franchise and delivered memorable hits like Geeta Govindam alongside Vijay Deverakonda. She is also set to reunite with Vijay Deverakonda for the action film Ranabaali.
In addition to these commercial ventures, Rashmika has been consciously exploring performance-oriented roles. She recently featured in the female-centric film The Girlfriend and will next be seen in Mysaa, where she reportedly plays a challenging, author-backed character that places strong emphasis on performance.
Commenting on the growing inclination of South actresses toward Bollywood, director Kona Venkat remarked, “Hindi films enjoy wider reach and global visibility compared to regional cinema. The Hindi-speaking audience is much larger, and when Telugu actresses appear in Hindi films, their fan base expands significantly. This also opens doors to major brand endorsements, which today often pay more than acting fees.”
He further noted that actresses like Sreeleela, Keerthy Suresh, and Sai Pallavi are also exploring Bollywood with diverse roles, adding, “That’s the best thing they are doing.”
With a strong lineup across industries, Rashmika Mandanna appears well on track to strengthen her position as one of the most versatile and sought-after actresses in Indian cinema today.
