Dhruva Natchathiram Gets Fresh Hope as Court Reviews Escrow Release Proposal

A positive development has emerged in the long-pending legal dispute surrounding Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram. During the latest hearing at the Madras High Court, senior counsel Srinath Sridevan, representing investors K. Punniamoorthy and K. Premkumar, proposed a practical way to break the deadlock.
He suggested before Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy that the film be permitted for release, with its revenues deposited into an escrow account. This arrangement would ensure that all stakeholders receive their rightful share in case the film turns profitable.
The court has now directed the counsel representing director Gautham Vasudev Menon to respond to this proposal. The development is being viewed as a key step forward for the long-delayed project, which has been stuck for years due to financial and legal disputes.
For Gautham Menon, this could offer a viable path to finally bring the film to audiences. However, uncertainties still remain regarding its reception, as the film was completed several years ago and may face challenges in connecting with current audience trends and expectations.
While the legal roadblock may be nearing resolution, the box office prospects of Dhruva Natchathiram remain unpredictable. All eyes are now on the director’s response, which could determine the long-awaited fate of the film.
