Dusky beauty Priyanka Chopra hit the headlines with tremendous show in her debut American Television program. The starlet plays Alex Parrish, a young FBI recruit implicated in a terror attack on ABC’s new show, Quantico. The story alternates between two timelines: From Alex training at the academy with a bunch of new recruits, to Alex on the run to find the real culprits and clear her name.
One of the best things about the show is getting to watch Chopra do things that female protagonists still don’t in our typical desi films. As Alex Parrish, she gets to be the person the entire story revolves around. Priyanka gets to be unremorsefully in control of her life and do whatever she wants. She gets to be strong, chaotic and vulnerable at the same time. Priyanka is lauded to be best action heroine Bollywood never produced.
Although the show may have received mixed reviews, Chopra’s performance is the talk of town. Variety magazine called her an “arresting lead”; The New York Times said she was “the strongest human asset on the show” and Vulture said “Chopra’s a huge star overseas for a reason: She’s very compelling on screen”.
