The internal discord within the YS family has become a source of distress for ardent supporters of the legacy household. What was once considered an unbreakable bond has now escalated into a full-fledged legal confrontation, with Vijayamma taking her grievances to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
Vijayamma has alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his wife, Bharathi, are subjecting her and her daughter, YS Sharmila, to undue harassment through fabricated legal cases. In her counter to Jagan’s earlier claim regarding the ownership of shares in Saraswati Power Company, Vijayamma firmly refuted his statement.
According to Jagan, he had gifted the company’s shares to Sharmila and Vijayamma, but in her response, Vijayamma denied this assertion, stating that she holds 99.75% of the company’s shares, making her the sole owner. She further clarified that neither Jagan nor Sharmila have any legitimate claim over the company.
“My son and daughter-in-law dragging me to court over this property dispute is deeply distressing. However, I want to make it clear that I am the rightful owner of these shares, and neither Jagan nor Sharmila have any stake in them,” Vijayamma asserted in her legal counter.
This unexpected and public fallout between mother, son, and daughter has left YS family loyalists in shock. The ongoing battle, now reaching the courts and tribunals, paints a grim picture of the once-united political dynasty. The situation continues to unfold, with many awaiting further legal developments in this high-profile dispute.
