Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan returned to Bengaluru from his London trip yesterday and immediately took the opportunity to celebrate the auspicious Diwali festival at his lavish Yelahanka residence.
In a first-of-its-kind development, Jagan celebrated Diwali publicly along with his wife, Bharathi. Visuals of the couple celebrating the festival were shared on the official social media handles of the YSR Congress, marking one of the rare occasions Jagan has celebrated Diwali openly.

It is worth noting that the Jagan household has previously faced criticism for avoiding traditional Hindu ritual items like Theertham and Prasadam Laddu, and there were few public visuals of the family observing Hindu festivals. This year, however, the Bengaluru residence was adorned with festive decorations and confetti, signaling a more public celebration of Diwali.
