Piracy in AP Buses: Producer Seeks Pawan Kalyan’s Action
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, a prominent figure in both the film industry and politics, has always had a deep-rooted connection with cinema. His journey from films to mass leadership has been remarkable, and now, the time seems right for him to stand up for the industry that shaped his public image.
In recent times, piracy has become a major concern, with multiple incidents of unauthorized film screenings in private and government buses across Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier, during Sankranti, movie lovers were shocked when Ram Charan’s Game Changer was illegally played in private and RTC buses just days after its theatrical release. Pirated versions surfaced online, and the movie was openly screened in buses specially arranged for the festive season. The fact that a major star’s film was being broadcast so soon after release raised serious concerns within the industry.
Now, history has repeated itself with Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel. Producer Bunny Vasu revealed that the film was pirated within days of release and was shockingly played on an RTC bus in Andhra Pradesh. Expressing his frustration, he has vowed to take strict action and has decided to meet Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to escalate the issue.
As a key figure in the state’s administration, Pawan Kalyan holds the authority to implement necessary corrective measures to curb piracy, which has been severely affecting the film industry. With rising concerns, industry insiders and fans alike are hopeful that he will take decisive action to protect Telugu cinema from this growing menace.
