Shilpa Shirodkar needs no introduction. Known for her work in films and television, she is also widely recognized as the sister of Namrata Shirodkar, wife of superstar Mahesh Babu. Shilpa made her mark with the film Gaja Gamini in 2000 and went on to act in several notable Bollywood projects. Eventually, she chose to step away from the limelight after marrying prominent banker Aparsh Ranjit and settled down in New Zealand.

In a candid revelation, Shilpa shared that before becoming an actress, and even prior to her marriage, she worked as a hairdresser in a salon. Her interest in makeup and hairstyling led her to train professionally in the field. While looking for a job, she ended up working in a salon, which she said felt creatively close to the film world.

After moving to New Zealand, she pursued a course in hairdressing to keep herself engaged and worked at a salon for two months. However, she found it difficult to balance work and family life, and eventually stepped away from the job. Later, she joined a corporate firm as a finance controller. She also shared fond memories of her strong connection with the Netherlands and New Zealand.

In 2018, Shilpa made a television comeback with the show Savitri Devi College & Hospital and won hearts with her performance in Bigg Boss Season 18. Up next, she will be seen in the horror thriller Jatadhari, starring Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha.
